“Kambo Medicine Woman in the Redwoods” is a retelling of my experience with Jonathan Carrick of Kambo Catalyst during my Caboclo Inoculation. We sat together three times, and he initiated me with an intermediate dose of Kambo. Jonathan’s meditation, which guided us into the Kambo experience, called upon my higher consciousness, my ancestors, and Pachamama. All of these elements are captured in this unique acrylic painting on handmade canvas.

“Rogue Wave,” (2023) a collaborative acrylic painting by Natascha and Jeremy Pearson, embodies their shared aspiration to embark on a global sailing adventure, enriching their understanding of diverse cultures and experiences. This rare natural phenomenon, characterized by a solitary powerful wave amidst a sea of others, serves as both inspiration and metaphor for their journey.

Within the vibrant canvas, dolphins playfully leap around the bow of the boat, a fond memory from Natascha’s sailing excursions to Catalina aboard the Tule More. Known for their bold color palette, Jeremy’s expertise lies in landscape painting, while Natascha meticulously crafts intricate details, including the boat and dolphins, infusing the scene with life and movement.

“The Dew Fairy” (2023) is an original acrylic painting by Natascha Pearson, rendered on canvas. In this enchanting backyard scene, the titular character exudes radiant energy, breathing life into the lush, overgrown grass. The moon, nearly full and vibrant, casts its luminous glow behind a majestic tree, setting the nocturnal stage. Birds gracefully soar through the night sky while a curious raccoon perches in the branches of a nearby tree.

The Dew Fairy reigns as queen of her domain, whimsically manipulating the moisture in the air with her magical touch. As an avid practitioner of yoga, I am drawn to its profound tranquility, which deeply influences my art. The attire depicted in the mandala draws inspiration from vibrant Indian textiles and loose-fitting jewelry, reflecting the spiritual essence of yoga. My mandala itself is a meditation on the harmonious flow of nature and the boundless concept of the horizon, inviting viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of existence.

“Leda and the Swan” (2022) represents a significant milestone in my artistic journey, as I meticulously crafted a replica of a renowned master painting. This work encapsulates my exploration of motherhood intertwined with the challenge of reconciling past traumas. The depiction of the central female figure with alien-like eyes serves to detach her from her immediate reality, adding a surreal dimension to the narrative. The signature clouds in the background lend a distinctive touch, while the overall composition exudes a playful energy, characterized by vibrant colors and a nearly cartoon-like aesthetic that engages the viewer.

“From the Kitchen, Still Life” (2022) by Natascha Pearson offers a unique perspective on a mundane scene, blending fruit and ceramics with vibrant colors and innovative shading techniques. Pearson’s surreal, magical realist style is evident in elements such as the ethereal steam from the tea kettle, which transforms into stars, adding a whimsical touch to the composition.

Jeremy Pearson’s “Mandala” stands as his inaugural completed acrylic painting, marking a significant milestone in his artistic journey. Crafted over the course of several years, this mandala emerged through patient dedication, with Jeremy gradually adding layers and details in small increments.

Gazing into the intricate patterns of the mandala, viewers may find themselves transported to an alternate realm, where a profound sense of serenity and peace envelops their being. This immersive experience offers a momentary escape from the confines of everyday life, inviting contemplation and inner reflection.

“Zelenskyy” is a powerful multi-media artwork on canvas, incorporating spray paint, acrylic paint, newspaper clippings, and mod podge. Created by Natascha, this piece serves as a poignant expression of support for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.

Natascha meticulously crafted stencils of Zelenskyy and the evocative text “I need ammunition, not a ride,” capturing the urgency and resilience of Ukraine’s stance in the face of adversity.
